1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or using nearhud, you agree to these Terms. If you use nearhud on behalf of an organization, you represent that you're authorized to accept these Terms for it.
2. Private beta
nearhud is offered during a private beta. Features may change, break, or be removed, and the service is provided on an "as available" basis while we iterate. Beta access may be modified or revoked.
3. Accounts
You're responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for safeguarding access to your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
4. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service: no unlawful activity, infringement, attempts to breach security or access data you're not entitled to, scraping, or interfering with other users' use of nearhud.
5. Engagements between users
nearhud is a coordination tool. Proposals, engagements, and any payment arrangements are agreements between you and the other parties on your project — not with nearhud. During the MVP, payments are handled off-platform; nearhud is not a party to, and is not responsible for, those arrangements or their performance.
6. Content & intellectual property
You retain ownership of the content you upload. You grant nearhud the limited rights needed to host and display it to the people you share it with and to operate the service. nearhud's own software, branding, and content remain ours.
7. Reviews
Reviews of professionals are tied to verified, completed engagements and must be truthful. We may remove content that violates these Terms.
8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, nearhud is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Specific limits and carve-outs to be finalized by counsel.
9. Termination
You may stop using nearhud at any time and export your data. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
10. Governing law
To be determined by counsel (nearhud operates in the US and India; governing law and dispute resolution will be specified here before launch).
